Why we ship
one product, slowly.

Six years to make a single bottle. A note on the cost of saying no to range extensions, satellite SKUs, and the second-bottle reflex.

The first thing every consultant we ever talked to suggested was a "matching shampoo." The second was a scalp scrub. The third was a "travel size" of the same serum. We listened politely to all three, and we did none of them. It cost us a lab partner and one investor.

The reason is uncomplicated. A range exists to fill shelves. A single product exists to do one thing, completely. We chose the second on purpose, and we have not been tempted to change our minds, because the math is unforgiving — every bottle we add to the lineup pulls attention away from the one that already works.

There is also a quieter reason. The serum was developed by a chemist who has worked with brands you have heard of, in conditions she could not control. She came to Meori because she wanted, exactly once, to ship a single product she would put her own name to. We do not have the right to dilute that.

A range exists to fill shelves. A single product exists to do one thing, completely.

— From the February 26, 2026 Letter

When we eventually add something else — and we will, slowly — it will not be a satellite of the serum. It will be something the same person, in the same room, has spent the same six years on. We will not announce it until that is true.
